Alma Road Urban Village

THG were charged with creating a landscape where pedestrians and vehicles could safely coexist.

Client, Partners in Property, had a vision to create a transport oriented urban village with a featured commercial area. THG’s role was to augment this commercial area by creating an ‘Emporium’ feel with feature plants and ground covers. THG designed the commercial area to feature both ground cover and large trees to ensure onlookers would have views through the landscape as well as encouraging personal safety. Canary island date palms were chosen because of their height, stature and beauty.

THG’s landscape architecture knowledge was also used to create a design that complimented the architecture of the development. Strategically located planters underneath awnings, seating and bollarding all featured in the design.
