IBIS Care Aged Care Facility
THG created a tranquil space for the residents of the IBIS Care Aged Care Facility.
The design incorporated a ‘Zen Garden’ that featured ferns, mondo grass, bamboo and bromeliads to emulate the peaceful gardens of Japan in a Queensland context.
The garden also featured a courtyard with a central raised planter, surrounded by a heated concrete bench to provide maximum comfort for the residents of the facility.
Paved terraces allow for maximum mobility and demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the end-user of the landscape.
