THG were commissioned to design a residential pool concept that would become a flagship project for the client’s builder, Nathonic Constructions.
Combining water features, paving treatments, proposed plantings and a small backyard shed, THG created a triple level pool with two cascading water features. The design was presented to the client in the form of construction plans and documentation, positioning the pool to maximise views from the kitchen, hallway, master bedroom and living areas. The design also featured a tile mosaic designed to match the interior design components of the house to encourage a continuous line.
THG created a low maintenance garden for the client, whose goal was to be able to look after the landscape himself. Combining washed river pebbles and turf was the ideal solution for the client.
Taking into consideration the water restrictions on the Gold Coast, THG also put in to place a stormwater tank under the paving treatments, designed so that roof runoff could be collected underground for use in topping up the pool without dipping into town water supplies.
